A 'lil bit about me

My name is Rebekka Forster and I am a 17-year-old student currently studying Higher Photography at my local high school in Moray. The photographs that I have uploaded to my website have been taken during my free time and during my photography course. I enjoy taking photographs because I like to capture different moments which allows me to share them with friends and family. I also like to capture things that are local to me that you wouldn’t see day to day.

The two photographers I take inspiration from are Annie Leibovitz and Zhang Jingna. Annie Leibovitz created a Disney dream portrait; she took famous people and did a shoot dressing them as different Disney characters. In particular I liked some of the princesses as I feel she conveyed a romantic feeling through the photographs. Her photoshoot inspired me towards the fantasy genre which I feel would have been fun to design and then shoot.

Looking at Zhang Jingna I feel the strong emotions that she successfully conveys through her photography. There is one particular picture that stands out to me which is of a woman in a cream top with her hair up with loose strands blowing into her face. The photograph conveys a sad and lost feeling as her face has a blank expression, but her eyes give away how she is feeling.

I also enjoy all things Korean, from the food to the entertainment. I especially enjoy Kdrama and Kpop which has allowed me to pick up some of the language. I also read fan fiction and I am currently on over 200 stories on wattpad! I have also published a few of my own works to wattpad, however, these are still not complete, and I hope to continue them as time allows.
